
We are seeking an NED with experience in housing development and delivery at a group level, as well as expertise in strategic and corporate partnerships. You will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s growth strategy, offering insight into mergers and acquisitions, development opportunities, and corporate collaborations. Your contributions will support the company’s long-term sustainability and impact within the housing sector.
You will contribute to the work of Board subcommittees, with at least one NED assuming a chairing role. Board meetings are held quarterly, with additional subcommittee meetings taking place between them. The role requires an estimated commitment of up to two days per month.

About the Role
You will have significant senior leadership experience, ideally at C-Suite or Partner level, within the housing development sector. Your expertise in strategic planning, corporate partnering, and housing delivery will be crucial in supporting the Board’s decision-making and growth strategies. A deep understanding of risk management, corporate governance, and financial oversight is essential.
You will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to provide a broad perspective on financial and operational matters. Experience in ESG delivery and change management is highly desirable. Ideally, you will be based in or have knowledge of the Cambridgeshire area, with an appreciation of the local housing market and development opportunities. A degree or professional qualification and a flexible, diplomatic approach to stakeholder engagement are also required.
